Fortnite v28.01 Patch Notes – LEGO mode update

Fortnite is slowly becoming a platform with all kinds of games to enjoy, and with this patch, we received arguably the best of them all: LEGO Fortnite. Here's everything added with v.28.01.

Fortnite LEGO Mode update - December 7, 2023

Although Epic Games hasn't released an official Patch Notes doc for v.28.01, we can assume that the biggest change was the addition of LEGO Fortnite and all its features included with its day one release.

It delivered everything we could want in a LEGO survival game and succeeded at its goal, which is to put aside the competitive game mode and allow us to build and collaborate together. Here's a look at everything that was rolled out with this patch:

Cloud Gaming

Cloud gaming platforms are now available to play Fortnite on:

Xbox Cloud Gaming

NVIDIA GeForce NOW

Amazon Luna

LEGO Fortnite

Multiplayer

Keyholders/Shared Worlds

No splitscreen compatibility

Survival

Status Effects: Hunger and temperature

Building: Crafting Bench, Stations, Village Square, homes, decor, etc.

Quests: three LEGO Fortnite survival quests

Sandbox

Advanced Settings for Sandbox Mode

Enemies: On or Off

Hunger: On or Off

Temperature: On or Off

Stamina: On or Off

Elimination: On or Off

Drop Inventory Upon Elimination: On or Off

Friendly Creatures: On or Off

Villagers: On or Off

Character Styles

Pre-purchased skins will be available as LEGO versions in your locker

Additional LEGO skins can be purchased in the Item Shop, usable as regular versions in Battle Royale modes as well

Skins are being updated with more LEGO details over the next few weeks

Emotes are also available in LEGO versions, equippable via your Locker
