If you're a fan of competitive Fortnite and like free cosmetics then Epic has some good news for you! On August 1st, 2020 at 1pm ET, the Fortnite Champion Series will be returning! The event will span over a few weekends, and if you tune in via Twitch you can connect your Epic account to earn three different cosmetics!

You will be able to watch on the following dates: August 1st - 2nd, August 8th - 9th, and the championship finals will occur on August 14th - 16th! Here's a look at the times that the events will be starting:

  • 1:00pm ET - Broadcast Begins
  • 1:15pm ET - Live EU coverage
  • 4:30pm ET - Break
  • 5:15pm ET - Live NA-East coverage
  • 8:30pm ET - Approximate end

If you want the free cosmetics, you will need to watch on Twitch. You will also need to make sure your Twitch account is connected to your Epic account! You can find out more details on this in our guide. You don't have to watch this on Fortnite's official Twitch channel, you can watch on another streamer's channel as long as they have drops enabled.

So, what do you stand to get by watching the event on Twitch? Well, there's three possible cosmetics. You can get the Number One Back Bling, FNCS 2:3 Spray, and the FNCS 2:3 Emoticon!

I will say that the back bling is pretty sweet, so it'd be worth checking out the event just to get that one for free! You can check out more cosmetics in the game via our Fortnite Skins gallery!

  1. do you know how long we have to watch for?

    1. You have to watch for at least 20 minutes supposedly. So, after 20 minutes you have a chance to receive the reward.

  2. I’ve been watching fresh for 90 minutes now and he had drops enabled, someone said OCE streamers can’t have rewards, does anyone know what is going on?

    1. Make sure it says “Drops enabled!” below the title of the screen. I had to re-link my account, because it wasn’t working at first.

  3. How does one know when a stream has drops enabled? And do you have a list of streamers that will support these drops?

    1. Details are here about Twitch Drops: https://progameguides.com/fortnite/fortnite-twitch-drops/

I don’t have a list for you, I will try to add one to this post once the event has started.

  4. do i need twitch prime for this?

    1. Nope!
