In LEGO Fortnite, your character's health status depends on factors like hunger and weather change, so you need to know how to stabilize in case of an emergency. I've survived both hot and cold and here are a few methods you can try to resist these inflictions.
How to avoid being Cold in LEGO Fortnite
In LEGO Fortnite, you'll find that your character gets Cold every time it rains. The temperature meter on the top left-hand corner shows your character's condition (check the white arrow on the image above). When it moves to the blue mark it means your character is cold or freezing. Similarly, if the marker moves to orange and red, it means your character is hot and needs to cool down.
To avoid being Cold, all you need to do is equip the Torch item from your inventory. To craft a Torch, build a Crafting Bench, and select the item from the last tab. A Torch requires nine pieces of Wood and three pieces of Vines, so collect the necessary resources by collecting pumpkins, destroying shrubs, and chopping down trees nearby. With the resources in your inventory, craft the Torch and equip it in your loadout slot. This way, every time you are cold you can bring out the Torch to stay warm. You can also build a Campfire and stand around it to stay warm when afflicted by the Cold status.
How to avoid being Hot in LEGO Fortnite
Similar to the Cold status effect, you'll often find your character getting Warm and Hot. This often happens when you travel to warmer areas during the day. To counter this effect you can craft a Cool-Headed Charm. This charm increases resistance to hot temperatures, allowing you to travel across the warmer locations easily. I found this item after defeating a group of skeletons when they attacked my village in the night. I'd recommend venturing into caves and fighting the enemies there as they often drop top-tier loot.
