How to collect a Vault Keycard to open Cold Blooded Vaults in Fortnite

The Most Wanted event is here and it has brought a bunch of new elements to Fortnite. One such element is the Heat level, a meter that will reward the player with crucial buffs provided they raise it high enough. An easy way to gain Heat level is opening up Cold Blooded Vaults, and to do that players need to the Vault Keycard.

Where to find Vault Keycards in Fortnite

The Vault Keycards are dropped from the Cold Blooded Bosses found at Faulty Splits, Brutal Bastion, and Shattered Slabs. Players who have fought bosses in Fortnite before know how difficult it can be to dispatch one, so they'll need to make sure they have some decent loot before taking them on. These bosses are indicated by their large health bar and shield, so it's impossible to miss that you're engaged in battle with one.

Once the boss is defeated, it'll drop the Vault Keycard to open up the vault. Luckily, the Cold Blooded Vaults aren't difficult to track down because they're in the same location as the bosses. Use the card to open it up and get some good loot. Of course, it's unlikely that these drop spots will ever be uncontested, so getting the card is easier said than done.

Why you should open Cold Blooded Vaults in Fortnite

Cold Blooded Vaults contain some of the best loot found in Fortnite, but there are some other bonuses that players should be aware of throughout the Most Wanted event. Opening up these vaults is a way to raise Heat level, giving the player buffs. It starts off simple with just more Gold Bars from eliminated enemies, but players will eventually gain health regen and movement buffs.

Getting a vault opened at the start of a game is a good start, but eliminations will be needed to raise Heat even further and eventually win the game. The Most Wanted event runs throughout the remainder of February, so there's plenty of time for players to get in there and crack open these vaults.
