How to defeat the Hearts Dealer boss in Fortnite

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 has added new POIs, weapons, augments, and other elements which have made the heist-themed season exciting for players. New bosses have also been introduced in season 4, dropping rare and valuable rewards once defeated. One such boss is the Hearts Dealer, who you'll need to defeat in order to access a vault on the map. Here's how you can defeat the Hearts Dealer boss in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4.

Where to find the Hearts Dealer boss in Fortnite (Map Location)

The Hearts Dealer is located in the basement of the Relentless Retreat POI. This POI is situated on the southwestern corner of the map. Check the yellow circle on the map image above to see its precise location.

How to defeat the Hearts Dealer boss in Fortnite

The Hearts Dealer boss is comparatively easier to eliminate than Kado Thorne at Eclipsed Estate. However, he has a few Low Card NPC guards and Turrets protecting him. You will find the guards, Cameras, and Turrets at the entrance of the underground basement.

I recommend eliminating the guards first so that you can isolate the boss. Without these minions protecting him, the boss will be much easier to eliminate. Once the guards are gone, shoot down the Cameras and Turrets before they can target you. If the camera detects your movement, the Turret will start shooting.

I recommend engaging the Hearts Dealer himself in a close-range fight. I used the Infiltrator Pump Shotgun and Twin Mag AR to take him down. You can also use the Scoped Burst SMG, which has excellent accuracy and can be a great weapon to use in close-range combat.

Once you defeat the Hearts Dealer boss, he'll drop the Heart's Havoc Suppressed Rifle (mythic) and the Retreat Vault Keycard (Legendary). Collect these items and head to the vault for an exceptional loot. Check the image above to see how the vault keycard looks.

How to enter the vault at Relentless Retreat in Fortnite

The Relentless Retreat vault is located on the same floor where you encounter the Hearts Dealer. After collecting the weapon and the keycard, head towards the vault. Before you can reach the vault, you'll come across a laser field. Go through the red laser fields to reach the vault. If you step on the laser field, you will get stuck inside a jail cell. However, the jail cell doors can be broken easily with your pickaxe.

Once you cross the laser fields, swipe the keycard at the blue console located just beside the vault. You must swipe the keycard in order to access the vault. Doing so will cause the console to display "ACCESS GRANTED" across the screen.

There are two mythic weapons inside the vault. I found Midas' Drum Gun, The Foundations MK-Seven Assault Rifle, Zyg and Choppy's Ray Gun, as well as Kit's Shockwave Launcher in different matches. Besides the mythic weapons, there are several chests, Slap Juice barrels, and other loot inside the vault. Grab the consumables and other essential items that you will find inside the Relentless Retreat vault.

It's worth mentioning that the mythic weapons rotate in every game, so you might not see the same items I found. You can only pick one mythic weapon out of the two. As soon as you take the weapon of choice, the alarm goes off, Low Card guards will appear, and the other mythic will go under protection. Eliminate them quickly to safely exit the vault with your loot.
