Gathering materials is super easy to do with flying in the sandbox, especially those higher materials like Rough Amber. Going up is the easy part, but you might not have known you can also slowly descend without completely dropping out of the sky.

While you're flying, you can control your height by pressing two different buttons. A on Xbox and Spacebar on PC will initiate flight and raise you higher in the air. You can completely exit Fly mode by double-tapping the same button. However, if you don't want to stop flying but fly downwards a bit, you can press R-Stick in on Xbox and Ctrl on PC.

This control over your height will make it much easier to grab or harvest the items you need on cliffsides or for better building techniques.
