How to break medium chests in LEGO Fortnite

The only way to destroy a medium chest is by using an uncommon or higher rarity Pickaxe in LEGO Fortnite. Generally, higher-level chests require higher-level pickaxes to break them. As a result, you can't destroy them with your hands or even a common Pickaxe.

During my playthrough, I found that a medium chest required 2-3 hits from an uncommon Pickaxe, but just one hit from an Epic rarity pickaxe. However, it's worth noting that a Pickaxe is a special tool that isn't available in the game right away.

How to craft an uncommon Pickaxe in LEGO Fortnite

You'll need the following ingredients to craft an uncommon Pickaxe in LEGO Fortnite:

• 3x Knotrood Rods
• 3x Bones

However, it's worth noting that the uncommon Pickaxe recipe is unlocked once you upgrade your workbench to level 2 by collecting the following materials:

• 12 Knotroot Rods
• 15 Marble Slabs
• 6 Sand Claws
• 3 Sand Roller Shells

To get Knotrood Rods, you'll need to Place Knotroot Wood inside the Lumber Mill to transform into one Knotroot Rod per piece of wood. On the other hand, you can obtain bones by defeating skeletons with a sword during the night.

You can also explore the Frostlands biome to find Cursed Bones by defeating Bone Wolves in caves. These wolves drop Cursed Bones, which are essential for crafting powerful gear like charms.
