How to get & use Firebending in Fortnite (Avatar Elements event)

Avatar action has come to Fortnite, bringing element-bending skills. My personal favorite is the Firebending technique, so I've put together this extensive guide on how to get the Mythical Firebending Scroll and use its powers in the best way possible.

Where to find Firebending Scroll in Fortnite (Avatar event)

The fastest way to find Firebending Scrolls is to locate a Fire Shrine with a Bending Scroll Container or simply pick it up from the ground (if someone left it). To locate the shrine, look for the red beacon while airborne and glide in that direction.

If you're lucky enough, you'll be the first to get it. Don't be in a rush to pull out your glider until you see where you want to go. I picked up two Mythic Firebending Scrolls easily and managed to use them on the first target I saw.

Every time you find a Shrine for any type of element, it will drop two scrolls. It's up to you whether you want to have both of them equipped, or you just want to take one and free up space for other weapons or items in your slots.

The best way to use Firebending Technique in Fornite Chapter 5 Season 2

The Firebending technique is very useful, as it can burn enemies to a crisp from close and mid-range. Don't be shy about using it, as Avatar Mystics don't disappear from the inventory, but they do have a cooldown. Reload time didn't bother me, as I had two scrolls, giving me plenty of firepower. You can use Firebending in two ways, as listed below.

• Fire Sweep (mid-range) - Creates flames that launch arcs of fire toward enemies.
• Fire Slam (close range) - Slam down from above in a fiery explosion. This is perfect for close encounters as it deals area-of-effect damage. It's safe to say that this is my favorite attack of the two.

Don't expect enemies to die from the first hit of your Fire Sweep if they're at full health. In my experience, using the Fire Sweep to deal damage and panic my opponent gave me time to get up close and use the Fire Slam to finish them off, or at least almost wiping them out. I found this strategy very effective, especially in the early stages of the match, where not many players have deadly long-range weapons.
