Fortnite How to Use Presents

We're taking a quick look at how to use presents in Fortnite! This challenge is required to complete one of the Winterfest Challenges, and can be a bit confusing with the Cabin full of presents. We won't be heading there, we will need to go into the game and find a pretty rare item.

The Wintefest Challenges are still going on strong and have you doing a variety of things. For this one, you will need to Use 2 Presents to complete it and earn the Snowy Pickaxe!

How to Use Presents in Fortnite

Using a present is very simple, but finding one is where you might struggle a bit. You will need to find the Presents! item in the game. This is a Legendary item, so it's not easily found but it can be located as floor loot or in treasure chests. The best way to find one is to go to an area with a lot of chests and just run around opening them all! I would hop into Team Rumble and land in a named area that none of your teammates are going to. Spend as much time running around opening chests and looking through buildings. I would say you should average at least one present per round doing this.

How to use a present just requires you select it in your inventory and hold down your fire button. This will give you a meter on where you can throw it. When you throw the present, it will break up the area where it landed and create a huge wrapped box! You can hack this box open and find some pretty good loot inside of it. You will even sometimes find a Lump of Coal which will be useful for another challenge!
