Is Fortnite x Persona 5 a real crossover?

For whatever reason, the Fortnite x Persona 5 rumors have started up a bit again and players are searching to see whether or not this is really going to happen! Well, if you were hoping that you'd get to play as Joker, Crow, or Morgana anytime soon, you are likely going to be disappointed. Like a lot of rumors that get started on the internet, it looks like this is one that is purely from the fans.

Is Fortnite x Persona 5 going to happen? As of right now, the answer to that question is no. There has been no credible leaks or information that has pointed to any kind of collaboration between Fortnite and Person 5. Everything you see out there on the internet are images made by fans of both of the popular franchises. I have not seen any mention of it by any credible Fortnite leakers.

If you've been scouring the web looking for information on the subject, then you've likely come across the images and fan art. This Tweet in particular shows off a bunch of the fake imagery you might have come across:

These are all pretty obvious creations by people to either show off what they might have wanted to see or to create some clickbait to get people angry or excited. Someone in the responses to that thread even showed how they created one of the images:

So, if you were hoping for any kind of collaboration or crossover between Persona and Fortnite then you are likely going to be disappointed. While it isn't completely in the realm of impossibility, it seems like an unlikely pairing. However, seeing a different art-style in Fortnite could be a nice change of pace, and would make for some interesting cosmetics as shown in the image that someone created for the potential partnership!
