Is the Pump Shotgun back in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3?

The Pump Shotgun is back, kind of.

The Pump Shotgun is one of the most beloved guns in all of Fortnite, but that doesn't mean Epic Games will keep it in the game at all times. After rumors of it making its return in Chapter 4 Season 3, the developers appear to have brought it back, but with a twist. Is there any truth to these rumors?

Is the Pump back in Fortnite?

The Pump Shotgun will make a return, according to leaks, but Epic made some changes to it so it won't be feeling like the gun you remember. Instead of simply being called the Pump Shotgun, it has been renamed to the Sharp Tooth Shotgun, and the stats have been nerfed.

According to FNAssist, it does 196 damage for headshot at Legendary rarity, but Fortnite leaker HYPEX claims it's much lower at just 160 damage. On top of that, that gun is now stronger at long distances, so it won't really feel like the same gun at all, hence the name change. For players who still want a strong shotgun for closer-quarters combat, they'll have the Havoc Pump Shotgun at their disposal.

What new guns did Fortnite add in v25.11?

If you're looking to explore some of the other new content Fortnite has to offer, you can pick up the Explosive Repeater Rifle and start hurling bombs at enemies. These bullets will explode on impact, and they can actually blow up bush players are hiding in.

To compensate for this new gun, the Heavy Sniper Rifle has been vaulted. You can find the Explosive Repeater Rifle from floor loot, chests, Holo-Chests, and from the NPC Nia. A pair of augments — Heavy Headshots and Heavy Ammo Acquired — will pair nicely with the gun as they increase headshot damage and give you heavy ammo respectively.
