Pirates of the Caribbean and Marvel crossovers coming to Fortnite, according to leaks

The collabs just keep on comin'!

As Epic Games works on getting the Fortnite servers fine-tuned and updated for the release of Chapter 5 Season 3, dataminers and leakers are busy combing through the new update's files and may have found some information regarding crossovers for both Pirates of the Caribbean and yet another Marvel collab.

The news comes via reputable dataminer HYPEX. First off, they revealed that a Fortnite x Pirates of the Caribbean crossover will arrive later this season. A Treasure Map — which will likely lead players to some buried loot — and a Pirate Cannon are all that has been revealed to be coming as part of this crossover right now. I'd assume that as part of a licensed crossover, a Captain Jack skin, at the very least, will also be available to purchase in the Item Shop.

HYPEX also revealed that the theme for Season 4 will be Marvel, just in case you're not done with superheroes in Fortnite. The only information we have about the season so far is that Wolverine's Claws will get revamped, as will a Striker Burst Rifle. A Super Launch Pad will also be part of the season, but fans are already hoping that this is pointing to an X-Men specific theme for the next season.

A roadmap for Fortnite in 2024 leaked last month and claimed that Season 4 would be a Marvel-themed season. These leaks seem to provide credence to the roadmap's legitimacy, which means we could be looking at an OG Chapter 2 season coming in November. As a big fan of the OG season last year, I'd be all for this.
