Where to find Ghost Buried Chests in Fortnite

I always love checking out all the new spooky features added to Fortnite for the Halloween Fortnitemares event, such as new skins, candy, items, and more. If you're working on completing the Fortnitemares quests, then you might be wondering where to find the Ghost Buried Chests. These chests are a bit harder to find than regular chests, but we have all the locations where you can look listed below to make it easier!

All Buried Chests Locations in Fortnite

Buried Chests can be found in a few different locations around the map, particularly in more abundance in faults along the borders of the different biomes:

• Northwest of Shady Stilts
• The Stone Tower Landmark
• Aegis Temple Landmark
• Brutal Bastion
• The Hall of Whispers Landmark
• Winter Biome Southeast Fault
• Autumn Biome Southwest Fault
• Burning Beacon Landmark

How to find Ghost Buried Chests in Fortnite

Not every buried chest is a Ghost Buried Chest. To find the Ghost Buried Chests, you'll need to try and spot a ghost pointing you toward the right dig spot. I found it easier to locate them by sticking near the locations of regular buried chests (shown above) or near the coasts, but they can technically spawn anywhere.

These ghosts will pop up with white markers around them and will point toward a glowing dig spot somewhere nearby where you can find the chest.

How to search a Ghost Buried Chest in Fortnite

It's a bit more difficult to track down Ghost Buried Chests because they will not be out in the open, nor do they give off any kind of sound like normal chests. A Ghost Buried Chest will appear as a glowing mound of dirt or rocks in the ground, and you'll have to use your pickaxe to dig it up until you see the chest emerge from the ground. Ghost Buried Chests can look exactly like regular chests and will usually hold the same type of loot as them as well.

Keep your eyes peeled for ghosts as you venture around the map. You'll need to search at least one to complete your Fortnitemare quests and work toward earning some rewards. Happy treasure hunting!
