Mounted Turret is back in OG Season.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG has lived up to its promise to bring back old weapons and items from the past. Fortunately, Mounted Turrets have made a comeback with the Season 6 hotfix update. For players who aren't familiar with this item, here's how you can find and use it in Fortnite Season OG.

Players can find Mounted Turrets through chests, and supply drops scattered across the map. Although, it appears randomly, players need to search through the map to find this legendary trap item. Mounted Turrets are exceptionally rare this season, and you can use them to shoot down opponents from a safe vantage spot. These utility items can be combined with the Port-a-Fortress to create a solid base in spaces without cover. Keep in mind, Mounted Turrets are not available in zero-build mode.

How to use Mounted Turrets in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG

Mounted Turrets is a legendary trap item that can rotate 360 degrees to deal damage to opponents. With the OG Season, Fortnite has added this item as part of the hotfix update on November 9, 2023.

To use this item, place it on top of your build or a Port-A-Fortress, and press E to gain control of the Mounted Turret. Opponents can easily destroy the Mounted Turret by shooting at it, so I'd recommend placing it on your builds when you have the higher ground. Port-A-Fortresses are great in this scenario, as they are much more durable against the opponent's gunfire.

While shooting down opponents, I'd recommend taking breaks as the Mounted Turret requires a period of cooldown as it gets overheated very quickly. It is best to fire in a burst pattern to negate the cooldown effect and keep healing consumables handy as you'll be exposed while using the Mounted Turret.
