LEGO Fortnite is my new favorite way to play the popular online game, but errors sometimes occur. One I've run into lately is LEGO Fortnite being down and offline—here's what it means and how you can get around it.
Is LEGO Fortnite offline? - How to check LEGO Fortnite server status
LEGO Fortnite is primarily offline for two reasons. The first and most likely is because Epic has taken the servers down for an update, maintenance, or to fix an issue. If Epic has pulled the servers down, you have no option but to wait for the servers to return. Use Epic Games' official status page to check the LEGO Fortnite server status and any ongoing issues.
The second reason is an issue on your end. If the problem is something on your side and not the developer's, you have more options to fix LEGO Fortnite being offline. I recommend trying the following solutions below:
- Restart your internet connection
- Restart Fortnite
- Restart your PC or console
- Uninstall and reinstall Fortnite

Can you play LEGO Fortnite offline?
The answer is no. LEGO Fortnite is not available in an offline mode and is only available online. LEGO Fortnite requires the use of a server, even if you are playing by yourself. Until Epic Games releases an offline version, you cannot play LEGO Fortnite unless you are connected to the internet and the servers are up.
