How to Find and Beat Icewind Suite Boss in Genshin Impact

HoYoverse has introduced a brand new boss known as Icewind Suite as a part of the Genshin Impact 4.0 update. Icewind Suite is exclusively found in the new Fontaine region, but the game won't mention its exact location. On top of that, defeating the boss is a bit daunting task, as the critter boasts a unique set of abilities and weaknesses. So here's all you need to know about finding the Icewind Suite Boss in Genshin Impact, along with some tips and tricks to beat him.

Icewind Suite boss can be found on the eastern side of the Court of Fontaine, near the Marcotte Station and Fountain of Lucine. I've marked the exact location of the boss in the above image for your convenience.

After heading to the marked location, speak with Maillardet NPC, and you'll see three dialogue options on the screen:

  • Try "Dirge of Coppelia"
  • Try "Nemesis of Coppelius"
  • Let's do this later

Icewind Suite is composed of two pieces: Dirge of Coppelia and Nemesis of Coppelius. You can choose between these two bosses, depending on the materials you need.

Whether you choose the Dirge of Coppelia or Nemesis of Coppelius play, the boss will deal both Anemo and Cryo damage. The Icewind Suite creates different Anemo and Cryo zones on the ground that cause damage over time; it’s best to avoid stepping into these areas, but if you do, using shields or healing abilities can help reduce the damage. Also, pay attention to their movements and animations that indicate their attacks (e.g. spinning, charging, or shooting projectiles).

The Icewind Suite has two types of shields: Anemo and Cryo. It’s recommended to use Pyro characters like Bennett to deal damage and break their Cryo shields. Alternatively, you can use Electro characters like Raiden Shogun to trigger Superconduct reactions with their Anemo or Cryo shields. I highly recommend avoiding the Hydro characters, as they can trigger Freeze reactions with their Cryo abilities, leaving you vulnerable to the Icewind Suite’s attacks.

Icewind Suite can use two different energies known as Pneuma and Ousia, and both are capable of initiating the Annihilation reaction, so try to dodge these attacks whenever possible. In addition to this, you can use characters with opposite energies like Lyney and Lynette to counter these attacks.
