How to make Seasoning in the Genshin Impact Spices From the West Northerly Search event

The Genshin Impact Spices From the West: Northerly Search event runs from March 31, 2023, to April 10, 2023. During the event, you can add Seasoning to create Fragrant versions of a variety of dishes, which can then be given to characters in the Serenitea Pot for Friendship EXP.

How to unlock the Spices From the West: Northerly Search event in Genshin Impact

You can unlock the event after completing the following prerequisites:

• Reach Adventure Rank 20 or above to create Seasonings
• Reach Adventure Rank 28 or above and complete the World Quest called "Idle Teapot Talk" to cook the corresponding dishes and invite characters to taste-test (must have the Serenitea Pot in possession)

Once you've completed the above, you'll automatically receive the Event Quest called A Visitor From Westward Realms: A Flavor of Freedom. This will prompt you to speak with Sara and Nazafarin at The Good Hunter, unlocking the event.

How to cook Seasoning in Genshin Impact – Spices From the West: Northerly Search

Seasoning can be used to enhance the aroma of dishes, which can then be given to characters in the Serenitea Pot. It can only be created during the event period using a variety of ingredients. Start by heading to the event menu, then click on Event Details to open the Seasoning list.

Seven Seasoning recipes will unlock during the first week of the event. There is no functional difference between any of these, other than utilizing different ingredients to make. We recommend choosing recipes you have plenty of ingredients for.

Click Cook to begin making the Seasoning of your choice. Pay attention to the order of ingredients at the top of the screen. You need to hit the mix button (space for PC, spoon icon for mobile) whenever the bar at the bottom aligns with the ingredients listed on top. In the example above, the Pinecone is first on the list, so it would have to be the first ingredient you mix in, even if Mint appears first at the bottom.

How to use Seasoning in Genshin Impact – Spices From the West: Northerly Search

Once all ingredients have been added in, you'll receive x1 Seasoning. Click on Use Seasoning in the event menu, which can be used to make existing Delicious dishes fragrant. If you don't have the Delicious dish you need, simply cook it first on any stove before adding the Seasoning. Fragrant dishes can be given to up to 21 characters in your Serenitea Pot for Companionship EXP, as long as you unlock all seven Seasoning recipes.
