How to solve Evermotion Mechanical Painting Liyue I in Genshin Impact

The Duel! The Summoners' Summit! event runs from May 25, 2023, to June 19, 2023, taking the Traveler and Paimon around Teyvat to experience the King of Invokations Grand Prix. During the event, you can take part in a plethora of mini-games, including the Evermotion Mechanical Painting: Invoker. I found this to be a little trickier than the earlier rendition of Felix Yogue's Evermotion Mechanical Painting, but it's still a fun puzzle nonetheless.

How to unlock Evermotion Mechanical Painting: Liyue I in Genshin Impact

To unlock the Evermotion Mechanical Painting: Invoker mini-game in Liyue, you need to complete the second Event Quest called Roll! A Sea of New Acquaintances. In addition, you also need to complete the two Evermotion Mechanical Painting puzzles in Mondstadt:

• Evermotion Mechanical Painting: Mondstadt I
• Evermotion Mechanical Painting: Mondstadt II

Doing all of the above will unlock the King of Invokations competition venue in Liyue, as well as the Evermotion Mechanical painting puzzles in the region.

Genshin Impact Evermotion Mechanical Painting: Liyue I puzzle solution

Interact with the Evermotion Mechanical Painting: Liyue I stand at the edge of the competition venue to initiate the puzzle. Upon starting, select Surface I and Rotate Surface three times. The upper left gear should be positioned in the middle of the plate, as pictured above.

Next, switch to Surface II. You also need to Rotate Surface three times so that the pins three and four are on the left side of the bottom right plate, pictured above.

Select Gear Column 1 and place a Small Gear. Reference the image above for how the puzzle should look at this point.

Next, switch to Gear Column 2 and slot a Medium Gear into position. Reference the image above for how the puzzle should look at this point.

Once that's done, switch to Gear Column 3 and select the Large Gear. Reference the image above for how the puzzle should look at this point.

Finally, switch to Gear Column 4 and place the second Medium Gear. Doing so will make the cogs move, completing the puzzle.
