Lyney’s Special Dish and how to cook it in Genshin Impact – Cubic Tricks

A little treat for you and me.

Lyney is a famous Fontainian magician who often performs with his sister, Lynette, and is well-loved for his incredible stage presence. His Special Dish, Cubic Tricks, is a variation of the yummy Pate de Fruit, and offers a culinary experience full of surprises—fitting for a magician.

How to get Lyney's Special Dish Recipe in Genshin Impact

You can purchase the Recipe for Pate de Fruit from Louis, the Snack Shop Merchant in the Court of Fontaine's Vasari Passage. You can find his exact location circled in the image below. He also sells Recipes for other dishes, such as the Garlic Baguette, and I recommend purchasing all of them so you don't have to keep going back.

The Recipe for Pate de Fruit costs 5,000 Mora and is a one-time purchase that will allow you to make as many of this dish and its variations as you like.

How to cook Cubic Tricks in Genshin Impact

You can cook Cubic Tricks on any stove using Lyney. It's unfortunately not possible to cook the Special Dish if you haven't pulled him. Interact with any bonfire or stove to open the cooking menu and select Pate de Fruit, which can be made with the following ingredients:

  • x1 Bulle Fruit
  • x1 Jam
  • x1 Sugar

Both Jam and Sugar can be processed using sweet ingredients. If Lyney cooks Pate de Fruit, there's a chance for him to make Cubic Tricks instead. The exact rate for cooking Special Dishes is unknown, but it works on both Manual and Auto Cook modes.

Difference between Pate de Fruit and Cubic Tricks in Genshin Impact

Both of these are dishes that buff the party's Crit Rate and Crit Damage by quite a large amount. It's a great food item to consume before facing Weekly Bosses and other difficult enemies.

  • Pate de Fruit - Increases all party members' Crit Rate by 10/15/20 percent for 300 seconds. In Co-Op Mode, this effect only applies to your own character(s).
  • Cubic Tricks - Increases all party members' Crit Rate by 20 percent and Crit Damage by 20 percent for 300 seconds. In Co-Op Mode, this effect only applies to your own character(s).
