Genshin Impact is a game that likes to tease new characters to players with every update. If you were around to see the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview: Travail video when the game first launched, then you likely know about several upcoming characters. One of the most popular ones shown is Cyno.
Despite not yet being mentioned in the game, we actually have a lot of information about Cyno. He is a confirmed pole-arm user that's in Sumeru and appeared in the video that introduced the region's much like Ayaka, Ningguang, and Diluc. This almost guarantee's that he will be one of the first Sumeru banners.
He is also guaranteed to play a part in the story, as he played a major role at the end of the Genshin Impact mange. Cyno is one of the few people who knows the truth about Collei and is aware of Fatui's crooked experiments.
When Will Cyno Release in Genshin Impact as a playable character?
Cyno's release is probably closer than some other characters like Scaramouche. If we go by the release of the other character shown in the storyline preview. Then he should be on the first set of banners for the Sumeru region. The region is currently speculated to launch in the Summer of 2022, likely in June or July.
