The latest entry in one of PlayStation's longest-running series, Gran Turismo 7, is looking to offer players the greatest visual fidelity out of any racing game. Fans of the series have finally got an in-depth look at the game at PlayStation's first State of Play of 2022. When it comes out, here is how many locations players can expect to see in Gran Turismo 7.
In PlayStation's State of Play on Feb. 2, 2022, it was revealed that Gran Turismo 7 will feature 97 different track layouts in 34 different locations. For those that do not know, Gran Turismo will often feature different layouts of one track. This allows for variation in play without spending precious development time on an entirely new track. These numbers are slightly less than Gran Turismo 6, which had 107 track layouts in 40 different locations.
However, while players may have hoped for a few more layouts or locations, they can take solace in the fact that this might be a case of quality over quantity. Players who played Gran Turismo 6 will know what happens when the developers shoot for the opposite of that. This time it seems that they really wanted each and every detail of the game to be as close to reality as possible, which probably led to a few cuts.
As players, I think we can all agree that it's better to have a little bit less content than to have some not of high quality content. That seems to be what the developers are going for when it comes to locations in Gran Turismo 7.
