There are three major factions at conflict on the island of Lamang that are locked in a perpetual war. Your decision Gray Zone Warfare will decide the location of your base camp and the people you can interact with.

Lamang Recovery Initiative

The Lamang Recovery Initiative is a philanthropic organization funded by a tech billionaire that focuses on its main goal of finding and protecting survivors. After the UNLRA abandoned the island, the LRI stepped in to fill the power vacuum and assumed responsibility for rescue and clean-up operations. To ensure these rescue and clean-up operations are protected, the LRI has a small military division comprising highly trained professionals.

Players looking to make a difference, help others, and make some money as a bonus will find a home in the LRI.

Mithras Security Systems

Mithras Security Systems is a military organization run by soldiers for soldiers. They believe that their members are all brothers in arms, even sharing the wealth of successful operations among every member. Following the footsteps of a Roman Legion, they share the spoils of war with all their soldiers. The MSS requires their potential members to have already been molded by battle.

Expert shooters with a love for camaraderie and a sense of family while knee-deep in the trenches will find a kindred spirit in the MSS.

Crimson Shield International

Soldiers of fortune will find their home with Crimson Shield International — a private military company that prides itself on the success of every operation no matter the cost. They are the epitome of 'the ends justify the means' which often results in the cold-blooded death of civilians and other collateral damage. Their success rate is exceptionally high and those who care more for monetary gain will want to draw their gaze to the CSI.

Anyone who sees blood diamonds as a stack of cash will find the CSI the best place to sell their skills. You'll be swimming in moral dilemmas and heaps of money in no time.

Can you switch Factions in Gray Zone Warfare?

The developers have confirmed you can change factions, but only after every wipe, so make your choice carefully. There isn't any word on exactly when the servers will reset, but an in-game notice states players can expect it in a few months.
