Is there a map in Greak: Memories of Azur?

Try not to get lost

There is not a map in Greak: Memories of Azur. There is an overworld map where you can view the different areas you can travel, which doubles as a fast travel map upon finding the large stone in certain areas. But there is no area map you can use to find your way if you become lost.

There is also no minimap or anything of the sort. You have to rely completely on your own memory to remember how to get to certain areas or where shortcuts were. This is one of the worst points of Greak.

Even though Greak is classed as a Metroidvania, you do not need items/equipment to progress through the title. So you don't have to remember where certain items have to be used to progress further. Instead, you get two additional characters you switch between, each with different abilities. These abilities are what you use to progress.

More often than not, progression is based on the story/main quest being completed. All you need to do is attempt to remember how to get to certain areas the fastest possible route. Sure, you can go through areas the exact way as you did the first time, but this will take you so much more longer to do so.
