GRID Legends features over 120 cars that are distributed across nine different classes/categories. This makes races fair. However, multi-class races are also available for those who want variety. Here's a list of all the car classes in GRID Legends.
Touring
Initially, Touring mostly features hatchbacks, but you'll get to use some popular cars after reaching higher levels. These cars in Pro levels have better speed, variety and aerodynamics.
Tuner
As the name implies, the Tuner category incorporates heavily modified vehicles. From Japanese mods to American Muscle cars, this class has every major mass-market car suitable for racing.
GT
GT is arguably the most popular car class in any motorsport game, especially GRID. This class includes iconic cars and prototypes across multiple generations of vehicles.

Drift
While any car can technically perform a drift, the cars in this category are specialized for it. With great handling features, these are the go-to cars for drift race modes.
Track Day
The Track Day class features some special cars that were built for racetracks as well as roads. They have everything a race car needs in addition to comfort and aesthetics.
Open Wheel
Starting at Semi-Pro level races, Open Wheel cars have exceptional grip, danger, and speed. The danger comes because of these vehicles' lightweight structure.
Trucks
Unlike Open Wheel cars, Trucks have a heavy design, but they lack speed. Regardless, they are some of the most fun vehicles to use on the race track.
Electric
With the change in fuel, formfactor and specifications also change. This is easily noticeable while driving an Electric car in GRID Legends.
Specials
Specials class cars are the easiest vehicle class to identify thanks to their uniqueness.
In the Race Creator menu of GRID Legends, you can design your own races by adding your own set of rules and settings. Here, you get to see a further division of these nine car classes into several sub-categories based on vehicle specifications.
