GRID Legends allows players to choose the difficulty level from the beginning of the game. While veteran players would generally select higher levels, players that are new to the racing game franchise can start with easier difficulty levels initially.
Follow the steps below to change the difficulty settings in GRID Legends:
- From the main menu screen of your game, head over to the OPTIONS tab. You can also do this while in an ongoing race from the pause menu.
- Select the GAMEPLAY icon and choose the DIFFICULTY section within.
- Here, you can select the overall Difficulty Level from the following five available presets:
- Easy
- Medium
- Hard
- Expert
- Legend
The difficulty increases with every higher level you select and vice-versa. The difficulty level in GRID Legends not only the determines the action of the A.I. cars in a race, but rather several other factors, such as Terminal Damage, Transmission, Clutch Override, Racing Line, and Assist.
Moreover, these settings can be tuned individually from the same difficulty settings menu as displayed in the image above. If you find the races too hard to win, tune down the difficulty, and if the game seems easy, bump the difficulty level up to put your racing skills to the test.
