How to get Water in Grindcraft

Let us lead you to it.

Grindcraft is a free-to-play browser-based crafting sim in which you start with the ability to punch a tree to try and get some wood. But over time, you can work your way up to battle mobs, auto-harvest basic resources, and eventually build forts, export goods, and train armies. Progression works on a menu system that isn’t always easy to understand. So, below you’ll find our step-by-step guide on how to get water in Grindcraft.

To begin with, you will have many greyed-out icons on the right of your screen and an Overworld button on your left. As you have no tools, all you can do in the beginning is click the Overworld button to harvest wood with your bare hands. You’ll notice you can hover over the items on the right, and they’ll show what they need to make them. Once you have four Wood, for example, you can click on Sticks and the Crafting Table to make these items. But to get water, you are going to need to craft a bucket, which takes a few more steps:

  1. Make a Crafting Table.
  2. Make two Sticks and have three Wood available to make a Wood Pick. This will put a Mine button below your Overworld one, which gets you different resources but in the same way. You will usually get Cobblestones (Stone), and sometimes Coal.
  3. Mine until you have eight Stone, then use them to build a Furnace (you need it to make Iron Bars).
  4. Make two Sticks and collect three Stone, so you can craft a Stone Pick. This means you will now sometimes get Iron when you mine.
  5. Use the Mine button until you have three Coal and three Iron Ore. Use them to make three Iron Bars.
  6. Now use the three Iron Bars to make a Bucket.

Once you have crafted a Bucket, you can click the Overworld button, and it will sometimes give you Water instead of Wood. Congratulations! You can now get Water in Grindcraft.
