How to increase your armor in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – Definitive Edition

More armor is always a good thing.

If there is one thing you can count on in the Grand Theft Auto Series, it is that at some point, you will get shot at. This is true of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - Definitive Edition. Your character tends to be squishy and won't live long without armor. That being said, your armor is relatively low at the start. You might be wondering how to increase your armor in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - Definitive Edition.

At the start, you will have 100 armor. You can increase this in two different ways. The first is to complete 12 levels of Vigilante side missions. This will increase your armor to 150. The second is to get a 100 percent completion score for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - Definitive Edition. This will increase your armor to 200.

To start and complete Vigilante missions, you will need to steal a police vehicle. We recommend the SUV type as it is a little tougher. During these missions, you will take the law into your own hands and track down criminals to kill them. Unfortunately, you are not doing the police a favor as they will be hostile to you if you break the law.

Getting 100 percent completion will take some time, but the extra armor is well worth it. In the meantime, getting the 150 armor upgrade is pretty good while you grind for 100 percent. Having body armor is a good way to extend your life.
