Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy will be a single-player game. Several people have expressed relief that Eidos Montreal will not follow in the footsteps of Crystal Dynamics. As part of that, players do not have to be online while playing Guardians of the Galaxy.

Game players won't have to worry about internet outages ruining their games if they play Guardians of the Galaxy. We are likely to receive Guardians of the Galaxy as a complete package without live-service strings attached.

Eidos Montreal has paved the way for other games to follow in its footsteps and allow players to play single-player games without experiencing headaches.
