Age of Empires IV multiplayer player mode is an entirely different ball-game when compared with its campaign mode. To excel in multiplayer mode, you should know several tips and tricks that could set you apart from other players.
One such strategy is learning and understanding the various shortcuts & hotkeys in the game. As it will hugely reduce your selecting and dragging time and help you focus on your gameplay. You can easily select all the characters by pressing Ctrl + a or select only the military troops by Ctrl + m, but it can get tricky and confusing as you explore more.
