How to drive a tank in Fortnite

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is now live, and players will find several new elements including weapons, explosives, and vehicles. The IO Tanks have been added to the game, and players will find them at various POIs which are threatened by the Imagined Order.

To drive IO Tanks, players will simply have to enter it by pressing the X/Square button for controllers. Similarly, press E on your keyboard to enter and take control of an IO Tank. Players can drive around and shoot explosives from the IO Tank. Once inside an IO Tank, you can destroy buildings by driving through them.

Players can enter IO Tanks with their teams. However, opponents can easily shoot at these IO Tanks to make them explode. At the same time, the firing mechanic has a charging delay, which means you will have to be precise with their explosives. Players should note, that movement inside an IO Tank will be restricted if they are using third-party software for double-movement.

IO Tanks are mostly found in areas that have been taken over by the Imagined Order forces. You will find them at locations like Chonker's Speedway, Command Cavern, and several other POIs. Land on one of the IO Tanks early to take charge of the fight, as you can expect opponents to do the same.
