The EA app is Electronic Arts' platform, where they feature all of their new games along with others in the form of a gaming store and social hub where you can connect with your friends to maximize your gaming experience. This app, however, does not come without its issues, just like any other software, so I've written up a guide for you to troubleshoot the EC 10005 error below.
How to troubleshoot EA app Error Code EC 10005
This error means the app is having problems connecting to the internet. So, in order to troubleshoot this error, we're going to run through a few steps.
App settings
Follow these steps to troubleshoot the EA app itself:
- Check EA Server Status
- Click here to check if any of the EA servers are down
- Wait for a while before checking again
- Clearing Cache
- Click the three line menu on the top left
- Hover over help
- Click App Recovery
- Click Clear Cache
- Run the app as Administrator
- Close the EA app by fully right-clicking it on the task bar and hitting Exit.
- Right-click the EA app, click Run as Administrator
- Log out and Restart
- Click on your name on the top right
- Click Log out
- This will restart the app, log back in
PC Settings
- Check your firewall settings to see if they're blocking the app's internet connection
- Check your Antivirus settings
- Go to Task Manager and close all EA-related apps or services
- Restart your PC
- Reinstall the EA app
- Download and use a VPN
You can use these steps to try and troubleshoot the EA app in any order. In the end, any factor that could be stopping the application from connecting to the internet is the reason for this error. You can also try to switch from WiFi to Ethernet and vice versa, or simply use the mobile internet to give it a test run.
