How to play Dying Light Co Op (Enhanced Edition)

Play with friends.

Dying Light Enhanced Edition is a complete version of the 2015 hit zombie game and prequel to Dying Light 2. Multiplayer just happens to be a big part of the game, especially since Enhanced Edition includes a ton of bonus content that supports this, from the Be the Zombie multiplayer mode to DLCs like the The Bozak Hord. Here’s how you can play co op in the game.

How to unlock co op mode in Dying Light Enhanced Edition

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

To be able to play co op in Enhanced Edition, start by finishing the prologue/tutorial. You’ll know you have finished it once you reach a quest called First Assignment.

Then, set your Game Type to Public in your Online menu. You can access this on your Main Menu > Options > Online. Congrats, you now have co op mode unlocked! To join a game, you can choose Quick Join or Find Games, depending on whether you’re looking for a random room or a specific one to play in with friends.

Why can’t I access co op mode?

The most common reason why you’re not able to play co op is if your Game Type is set to Private (which is the default option for Dying Light Enhanced Edition). Just remember to do the necessary steps above and you should have no problem playing with friends and competitive strangers.

If you still can’t enter a room, that just means there are too many people searching for one, congesting the servers. Leave the game for 15 to 30 minutes and try again. You can also check the Dying Light’s official Twitter account for downtime announcements.
