In Naraka: Bladepoint, Moonbane is the moniker for the God of Yin. While Moonbane is important to the game's lore, it is also an adversary you can face. Fighting a dragon god immediately interested me, and I sought out how to fight and, if possible, slay Moonbane in Naraka: Bladepoint. Here is what I discovered about this deity.
How to defeat Moonbane in Naraka: Bladepoint
Moonbane is a challenging opponent to fight, mostly because it is difficult to encounter this boss. Moonbane only appears in the Herald's Trial game mode and only if you have met the proper requirements for it to spawn. That said, when you do manage to summon Moonbane in Naraka: Bladepoint, you have a different fight on your hands.

Defeating Moonbane requires a different strategy compared to the main gameplay of Naraka: Bladepoint. Parrying is the most important skill to have against this boss. When Moonbane attacks with lightning, parry to reflect these back at the dragon. This deals massive amounts of damage.
How to summon Moonbane in Naraka: Bladepoint
Moonbane requires several steps to be summoned. You must play Herald's Trial, the ranked playlist. Being a higher rank will increase your odds of summoning Moonbane, so you should try this when Gold or Platinum. Even at these ranks, Moonbane may still not show up. However, you can tell if Moonbane will appear in a match if he is present in the lobby, which can be seen just before a match begins.
Even if Moonbane appears, you must be among the winning team to encounter Moonbane. He only appears at the end of a match and will attack the remaining players. This means the best way to summon and fight Moonbane will be by playing with your friends and coordinating to increase your chances of winning a match and battling Moonbane.
