Royal Quest Online offers four main classes with a total of eight subclasses that allow players to develop different types of damage and support abilities. In this guide, we'll provide you with a tier list of all classes in the game, focusing on each subclass, including their best skills and talents.
All Classes Tier List for Royal Quest Online
Note that each subclass has a separate skill tree and a talent tree. Each branch of the talent tree allows you to choose between two different talents that will eventually create your specific build of the character. Practically, this increases the number of possible class builds to 24 due to three branches on each talent tree, but we'll focus only on the main eight classes here.
Tier | Classes |
---|---|
S | Archer: Sniper, Hunter. |
A | Warrior: Crusader, Dark Knight. |
B | Mage: Warlock, Sorcerer |
C | Rogue: Assassin, Thief |
S-Tier: Archer Classes
Sniper
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
High damage output; Speed and accuracy; Versatile combat tools; Ideal for ranged combat. | Lower HP and DEF in comparison to melee classes; High skill ceiling. |
Choose the Sniper class for powerful and accurate ranged combat, which puts you in the most advantageous position on any map. The best skills are:
- Finishing Blow deals 21-30 points of damage, with an increased chance to critically hit the target if its health is less than 30%. If you have a spare Focus point, it'll deal 30% more damage, but you'll need to use a gun, a mortar, or a pistol.
- Temporal Shot deals 37-51 damage to a target, but that damage is delayed by 3 seconds.
Sniper has access to many talents, and here are the top choices for an even higher damage:
- Sniper Shot deals 105-145 damage to a target with a 100% guarantee. The Focus gain speed is increased by another 100%.
- Roland X deploys a mobile automatic system, which follows you and attacks enemies. If you allow its cannon to dig in, the damage will be increased significantly.
- Flamethrower allows you to hit enemies every 0.3 seconds for 4-6 damage automatically. The higher the Focus, the higher the damage.
Hunter
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Tracking and pursuit skills; Camouflage and stealth; Trapping abilities; Ranged damage. | Lower HP and DEF in comparison to melee classes; High skill ceiling. |
This Archer subclass is more focused on tracking than DPS, but it can be a highly effective choice for ambushing enemies in both PvE and PvP. The best skills are:
- Camouflage allows you and all your allies to hide from the enemies for 30 seconds. However, if any of the party members takes damage while being stealthed, the Camouflage will disappear.
- Beastly Fury increases the chance of critical attacks and the speed of normal attacks by 30%.
Hunter's most powerful branch is the Shooting branch, which has a couple of very strong talents, such as:
- Reckless Shooter increases the damage output after every successful critical hit by 2% (up to 8 stacks).
- Energy Control reduces the consumption of all your energy by 50% for 10 seconds.
A-Tier: Warrior Classes
Crusader
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
High durability; Support abilities; Versatile combat skills; Holy damage. | Limited ranged options; Slower mobility. |
This class is best for supporting and tanking for their team. It's the most powerful melee class in the game, although a bit slow. Crusader has many skills to choose from, and the best are:
- Seal: Guardian Angel increases defense by 2,250 points. Once activated, it heals 25% of your HP and makes you invincible for 2 seconds, practically saving you from lethal damage.
- Retaliation deals 29-36 damage and inflicts Vulnerability status on all affected enemies, but no more than five. There's also a slight chance of inflicting Provocation. It works with all types of weapons except spears.
Out of all the talent branches, these talents should be on your priority list for extreme damage and defense:
- Aura's Blade deals 691-950 damage with one-handed or two-handed swords. The enemy will miss its next attack with a 100% guarantee.
- Aura's Shield makes your character invincible, although you can't deal damage in this state. It lasts until your Fury gauge is emptied.
- Aura's Light heals a single ally for 30% of their HP total.
Dark Knight
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
High damage output; High durability; Unique skills; Self-sustainability. | Vulnerable to Light damage; Limited ranged options. |
The Dark Knight is a classic melee DPS class, which utilizes axes, hammers, and swords. A few of the most important skills are:
- Earthquake deals 16-19 damage to all enemies within a 7m range. The damage is increased by 35% for each Fury point and debuff on the enemy (up to 7 debuffs).
- Domination deals 25-31 damage to a single target with a two-handed weapon. If the enemy's HP is below 20%, this damage is doubled.
The three branches, including Blood, Power, and Steel, have the following top talents:
- Invigoration restores 6% of your HP for each consumed or lost Fury point.
- Mass Destruction increases the efficiency of all mass attack skills by 10%.
- Ice Strike deals ice damage and freezes enemies, removing all of their defenses.
B-Tier: Mage Classes
Warlock
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Chaos-based damage spells; Debuffing abilities; Area control. | Relies on spells and positioning; Quickly runs out of resources; Must keep a safe distance from enemies. |
Warlock is a very powerful class, but it's also extremely fragile, which requires constant support. Here, it's crucial to focus not only on damage but also healing skills:
- Rampant Chaos deals 42-58 damage to all enemies within a 3m range. It deals 200% damage to a target affected by Chaos Shard.
- Ties of Blood heals up to 700 points of HP.
When choosing talents, keep focusing on Chaos spells and cooldowns:
- Rune of Chaos deals an extra 50% damage to a single target.
- Rune of Hunger increases Chaos damage by 10%.
- Trance resets the cooldown times of all your spells.
Sorcerer
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Diverse spell arsenal; Elemental mastery; Healing abilities. | Relies on spells and positioning; Quickly runs out of resources; Must keep a safe distance from enemies. |
While Warlock focuses on damage, Sorcerer is more about defense. Its main mechanics are clearly visible in some of the better skill options:
- Negation Field creates an energy dome over all your allies, protecting them from damage.
- Mirage makes you invisible for as long as your Concentration gauge is active, although high-level enemies can still see you.
Elemental mastery must be the most important talent group for this class, so be sure to choose the following talents:
- Crystal of the Four Elements duplicates all your Healing, Fireball, Ice Arrow, Stone Spikes, or Lightning Bolt spells.
- Circle of Healing restores the HP of up to six allies.
- Mirror of Reality inverts all enemy healing to damage and attacks to healing.
C-Tier: Rogue Classes
Assassin
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
High burst damage; Stealth and mobility; Crowd control. | Low durability; Dependence on stealth; High skill ceiling. |
Controlling the battlefield is not an easy task, but if that's what you're looking for, then Assassin would be a solid choice. The best skills are:
- Shadow Leap puts you in a stealth mode, allowing you to move through the shadows, dealing 18-22 damage to all enemies and inflicting Poison.
- Killer's Strike deals 22-27 damage to a single target. This damage is increased by 30% for each Poison or Bleeding effect.
When choosing a talent group for Assassin, consider the ones that buff various stats:
- Vortex of Strikes increases attack speed and critical hit chance by 30%.
- Shadow Dungeon turns you and your enemy invisible to everyone else.
- Vampire's Strike deals 29-35 damage to a single target, restoring that much HP to your character.
Thief
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
High mobility; Stealth abilities; Crowd control. | Low durability; Dependence on stealth; High skill ceiling. |
Think of Thief as Assassin but with the ability to rob enemies, which makes it quite a challenging class to play. But it still has some cool skills to consider:
- Robbery deals 18-22 damage to a single target and allows you to rob them. Each Cunning point increases this damage by 25%.
- Sip of Booze restores 21-26 HP, but you get Nimbleness for 5 seconds. Each Cunning point increases the healing effect by 7%.
As for the talents, be sure to look into the following options that increase Thief's damage:
- Weapon Throw deals 40-49 damage to a single target and decreases their speed of movement by 55% and attack speed by 40%.
- Bashing deals 11-13 damage to a single target and inflicts Bleeding, which reduces their healing ability by 50%.
- Dissection increases all Bleeding and Open Wound damage by 20%.
