How to fix DirectX 12 Error in Halo Infinite

With Halo Infinite's multiplayer launching early, many fans are eager to get into the game and relive some of their favorite gaming memories from the Halo series' multiplayer. With Infinite's multiplayer being free-to-play, more players than ever can get into the game. Unfortunately, this means issues such as the DirectX 12 Error are more prevalent.

To fix the DirectX 12 Error in Halo Infinite, you may need to perform an update of some kind. Making sure that your PC is up to date is important. The two main issues are likely your graphics card or a missing update. Try these solutions to fix the DirectX 12 Error in Halo Infinite.

  • Update Graphics Card
    • Depending on your graphics card, you can head to either Nvidia's or AMD's website and manually check for and install any updates. Alternatively, you can download Nvidia Geforce Experience or AMD Radeon Software to be notified when an update is available.
  • Install/Update DirectX 12
    • Halo Infinite requires that you have the latest version of DirectX 12. Without this, you will not be able to play the game. Simply head to the Microsoft site and download it there.
