All Weapons in Helldivers 2 and how to get them

We need more boom! Send us more warbonds!

In Helldivers 2, expanding your arsenal is key to facing the increasing threats of the Galactic War. While the game starts you off with basic weaponry, the true variety and power come from unlocking additional firearms through various means.

How to unlock more weapons in Helldivers 2

There are two ways to expand your Weapons Arsenal in Helldivers 2:

  • Finding them in the world.
  • Purchasing them via Warbond Battle Passes.

Exploring maps for Weapon Drops in Helldivers 2

  • Map Exploration: During missions, use the mini-map to locate points of interest, indicated by gem icons and well-lit crash sites, which can contain weapon drops or caches.
  • Bunkers and Structures: Areas that hint at previous human activity, like buildings and containers, are potential hotspots for finding powerful weapons.

While exploring missions for weapons granted me temporary firepower, I found out these weapons could not be exfiltrated with me. For a permanent addition to your arsenal, investing Medals in the Warbond battle passes is a must. The choice of weapon should align with your playstyle and the strategic needs of your squad in the game.

Acquiring Weapons via Warbond Battle Passes in Helldivers 2

There are two in-game resources in Helldivers 2 that you will need to acquire more weapons:

  • Warbonds: After completing your first mission, the Acquisitions section unlocks, granting access to the game's battle passes, known as Warbonds.
  • Medals: Medals, essential for unlocking weapons within Warbonds, are earned by completing operations, with the number of Medals awarded varying by the operation's difficulty.

All Warbond Weapons in Helldiver 2

If you're a completionist like me, then you'll want to obtain all the weapons in Helldivers 2.

  • Shotguns: SG-8 Punisher (4 Medals), SG-225 Breaker (20 Medals), SG-225SP Breaker Spray&Pray (60 Medals), SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary (60 Medals)
  • Pistols: P-19 Redeemer (5 Medals), P-4 Senator (15 Medals)
  • Rifles: R-63 Diligence Marksman Rifle (8 Medals), AR-23P Liberator Penetrator Assault Rifle (40 Medals), R-63CS Diligence Counter Sniper (40 Medals), AR-23E Liberator Explosive (20 Medals)
  • Submachine Guns: SMG-37 Defender (15 Medals)
  • Energy Weapons: LAS-5 Scythe (30 Medals), PLAS-1 Scorcher (75 Medals)
  • Explosive Weapons: JAR-5 Dominator (80 Medals)

Keep in mind that these won't make you play better; Helldivers 2 is a skill-based game, and while these weapons will give you fresh and new ways to approach some situations, they won't necessarily mean you'll outmatch your enemies every time. If you're having trouble, consider lowering the game difficulty instead.
