Helldivers 2 is a third-person action game with a heavy focus on challenging co-op missions. Players are tasked with selecting their deployment location in a mission and completing objectives.

The levels in Helldivers 2 are large and open, allowing players to plan their own routes to each mission's set of expansive objectives. Team up with up to four players and engage in intense firefights with all sorts of monsters planetside.

What is Helldivers 2's Release Date?

Helldivers 2 has finally been given a release date in the State of Play showcase, and thankfully, we won't have to wait too long. Helldivers 2 is set to release early next year on February 8, 2024. However, you'll be able to pre-order the game on September 22, 2023, starting at 1am PT.

What is Helldiver 2's Gameplay like?

Players will be deployed onto expansive maps along with their teammates. Each level will be randomly generated, as will the objectives given. Before deploying into a level, players will be able to select their loadouts and skills from a set of large talent trees. Research weapons and abilities and deploy them onto the battlefield with your unique, RPG-like build.

One key difference between Helldivers 2 and its prequel is the perspective. Helldivers 2 is a third-person title, which is a significant departure from the top-down perspective of its predecessor. Specific gameplay details are limited right now, but we'll get you up to speed once we know more.

What is the Story of Helldivers 2

If Helldiver 2 is anything like the previous game, expect a storyline similar to that of Starship Troopers. Bugs, bugs, and more bugs are taking over the galaxy, and it's up to you to face the threat head-on as members of the first line of defense, Helldivers. Though simple, it gets the point across.

What platforms is Helldivers 2 releasing on?

Helldivers 2 will be available for pre-order on PS5 and PC in 2023, and released exclusively on these platforms in early 2024. If there are any other platform announcements in the future for Helldivers 2, we'll keep you up-to-date on that.
