Does spinning the globes in Hogwarts Legacy do anything?

If you're like us, you've been enjoying your time with Hogwarts Legacy, exploring the sheer depth that is Hogwarts Castle. During your castle delving and puzzle solving, you've probably seen dozens upon dozens of globes that you can interact with. Wondering if spinning does anything in the long run? We've played enough to have the answer, and it's probably the answer your curiosity led you to first.

Do the globes in Hogwarts Legacy do anything?

The quick and dirty answer is a resounding no. Hogwarts Legacy is full of interactives that are just there for flavor more than anything else, and these spinning globes are no exception. We do understand the curiosity, though. Depending on which House you started in, these globes were likely one of the first interactable you got to touch. Tie that with the fact that these things are littered throughout the game, even outside of Hogwarts itself, it is no surprise to be suspect of them.

While plenty of interactives serve a purpose beyond flavor, we can confirm that the ones that matter are all tracked in your Field Guild or Quest Log in some manner. So feel free to ignore these spinning balls, or click'em anyway, because why not? It's the Wizarding World: It's all magical!
