Who is Professor Figg in Hogwarts Legacy?

Fans recently got to see a glimpse of Hogwarts Legacy during March's PlayStation State of Play, and a slew of new characters were teased in the gameplay. One of the new characters teased was the enigmatic Professor Figg. Fans are excited to know more about this new Professor, who will no doubt play a major role in Hogwarts Legacy's storyline.

Described as accomplished, and yet enigmatic, Professor Figg is going to be one of the central characters working with the protagonist in Hogwarts Legacy. Players will be working alongside him to find the truth behind a mounting Goblin rebellion. The gameplay trailer gave us an idea of Professor Figg’s powers, and he might be one of the strongest Wizards of this age.

Players saw Professor Figg fighting Ranrok in one of the sequences in the gameplay teaser, and the Goblin seems to simply overpower him with sheer magical force. In another instance, we see Professor Figg mending a broken tower bridge using the Reparo spell. Fans are excited to learn even more about Professor Figg.

The story of Hogwarts Legacy is set in the 1800s, and players will start as a student in their fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Fans are wondering if there is any connection between Professor Figg and Arabella Figg, a character shown during Harry Potter's trial in The Order of the Phoenix. Players will have to wait and discover the truth for themselves when the game releases in holiday 2022!
