Should you pull for Luka in Honkai Star Rail?

This character is out for blood.

With the new banner out in Honkai Star Rail, plenty of gamers are looking forward to praying for Kafka. The four-star pool with Kafka's banner is quite unique, though, with the first appearance of Luka, a four-star Physical Nihility character. Luka has a really technical kit, but it might be worth it to try pulling for him, especially on free to play accounts.

How good is Luka in Honkai Star Rail?

A lot of what makes Luka a strong character in Honkai Star Rail comes from his Fighting Will talent, which works similarly to Magma Will on the Fire Main Character. Basically, if Luka gets enough Fighting Will stacks, he will do extra damage to characters that have the Bleed status. This makes Luka as much of a DoT character as he is a Nihility character since a lot of his kit revolves around spreading the Bleed status.

His Skill, Lacerating Fist, even has a fairly high chance of inflicting Bleed. This chance can be increased with certain Relics and Light Cones as well.

Luka's Ultimate can also provide a lot of utility for the team since it increases the amount of damage taken by the enemy. This makes Luka great to pair with damage-carry units like Seele, Himeko, Dan Heng, or Sushang since they all benefit from the damage increase.

Another great pairing for Luka is Natasha. When she isn't healing, her Basic Attack can help spread the Bleed status. Whenever I use Natasha, she always ends up applying Bleed on a couple of enemies, even without me investing in her effect activation rate.

All things considered, Luka is definitely worth pulling. There aren't too many other available Nihility characters, and Luka fits a nice role as a sub-DPS along with his utility. Free to play players should really count their blessings because if they miss out on Kafka, they have a high chance of pulling Luka.
