How to Start Hytale Chapter I Out of the Breach
The wait is finally over, and the first piece of structured, handcrafted content in Hytale is here! I'm sure you're just as excited as I am and can't wait to start exploring everything Chapter 1 has to offer. Naturally, this brings us to the first question: How do you actually access the Out of the Breach content?
To start Hytale Chapter I, all you need to do is enter a world in Exploration Mode (either your old pre-patch world or a brand-new one will do) and head to the Forgotten Temple. Once inside, you'll immediately notice something that sticks out like a sore thumb in this otherwise peaceful, tranquil realm: a loud, rusty amalgamation of metal scraps that the Goblins have graciously decided to call a "lab."
How to Unlock the Goblin Lab
Now that you've found the Lab, you know exactly where your Chapter I adventure begins. However, things aren't quite ready just yet, as you'll first need to unlock the Goblin Lab. Fortunately, that's not particularly difficult, even if you're starting from scratch in a brand-new world, let alone if you're playing in an old world with a well-developed base. All you need to do is fix the Goblin Power Generator.
How to Fix the Goblin Power Generator
Fixing the Generator is surprisingly straightforward. All you need to do is collect x10 Scraps and feed them to the machine. At first, I thought Scraps would be some rare, hard-to-find new material, but it turns out they're insanely easy to come by. In fact, you can collect all 10 in a single Goblin Breach run, in less than 10 minutes. "But Nikola, what exactly are these Goblin Breaches, and where do I find them?" I can already hear you asking.
Goblin Breach is a new type of event that can occur after you discover the Goblin Lamp. You'll know one has started when a large "BREACH IN PROGRESS" message appears on your screen. Once you see it, look around for a bright yellow beam of electrical energy shooting up from the ground into the sky. That's where the Goblin Breach is taking place, so make your way over there.

As you get closer, you'll spot a couple of Goblins guarding the portal (the breach itself). You can fight them off if you want, but there's no real need to. Instead, head straight through the portal into a fragment of Orbis, where you'll have a limited amount of time to explore, loot, and do whatever else you fancy. More importantly, this is where you'll find the Scraps you need.
Collect 10 Scraps, grab as much extra loot as you can while you still have time, and then make your way back. Once you've secured all 10 Scraps, simply return to the Forgotten Temple, find the Goblin Power Generator, and hand over your hard-earned Scraps. And voilà, the Goblin Lab is officially open for business!
