Hytale Early Access Content - What to Expect?
As stated numerous times since the game's resurrection, the version we’ll be playing in Early Access is far from the developers’ envisioned final product. Many features are not yet ready for release, a significant amount of content remains unfinished, and several game modes are still unimplemented.

The developers want to focus on completing the game’s core mechanics and systems before expanding it with new content. Below is what’s planned for Early Access, as shared by the developers:
- Platform: Windows at launch (Hytale launcher, no Steam or Epic Games Store), Linux and Mac will be attempted, other platforms, such as consoles and mobile, at a much later date.
- Early Access state: The developers state you should expect bugs, glitches, rough edges, unbalanced content, unfinished elements, and frequent updates that break more things.
- Early access duration: Expected to last at least a few years. The studio has no desire to rush to 1.0. version.
- Launch content: Exploration Mode, Creative Mode, and Modding.
- Not at launch: Minigames and Adventure Mode (both will come later with a dedicated team for minigames).
- Game build: Using the previous engine from the original trailer (The Legacy Engine, C#/Java, PC-only), enabling faster development and immediate playability.
- Modding: Available at launch. Run your own servers and create custom content.
