How many players does Icarus support?

The more the merrier!

Icarus is a PvE survival game that allows players to go it alone or survive in co-op multiplayer. Working together with friends is the surest way to survive Icarus' brutal world and challenging environments. While Icarus features multiplayer, you may be wondering how many players it supports.

Icarus supports up to eight players in its session-based multiplayer. This means that players can experience it with up to seven of their friends. While it supports up to eight, players can play with less than that number.

With session-based matchmaking, players will be limited to that session and the in-game timer. Each player in the game will have their own dropship and must return to that dropship when the in-game timer runs out. During this time, players can join and leave as need be. If the host were to leave, the player with the next best connection would become the host.

Playing with friends is a great way to overcome the challenges of Icarus as well as have fun. Co-op allows players to experience crazy moments and chaotic gameplay. While getting lost in the fun moments can be easy, players should still keep their survival in mind when playing Icarus.
