How to get fur in Icarus

Stay warm my friend.

There are many resources in the multiplayer survival game Icarus. These resources are the difference between life and death in this harsh world. One resource that is extremely important early on is fur. As you might suspect, you can get fur from animals, but you might be wondering how.

To get fur in Icarus, you will need to skin an animal. First, you will need to kill the creature, and we recommend using the bow and shooting while sneaking for quick kills. Then you need to pull out a knife and go to the corpse. Hold F to begin skinning the animal. You will receive a variety of materials, one of which is fur.

Every animal you kill will not drop fur. These drops are randomized per animal type and kill. For instance, we hardly found any fur from killing and skinning dear. Yet wolves and rabbits almost always seemed to drop at least some fur.

Fur is an important resource because you will need it for bedrolls and beds. You can also use fur to craft warmer clothing that will protect you from the cold, especially in the snow biome. So get out there and collect some fur!
