If you like claiming areas and trading for materials, then you'll need to amass a large amount of Influence. Whereas Minerals help you construct buildings, and Isotopes allow you to upgrade facilities, Influence helps you claim areas and expand your colony. Unlike other resources, it cannot be mined for or scavenged from Ruins, rather, it must be earned over time. Here's how to get more Influence in Industries of Titan.

Easy way to get Influence in Industries of Titan

The easiest way to gain Influence is by letting time pass. This requires no effort and can be done by simply focusing your attention on other tasks, like constructing devices or surveying Ruins. You automatically gain a set amount of Influence every minute, depending on your standing with the Council. This rate can be viewed by hovering over the Council Communications icon, which should appear as a green number titled Influence Gain Rate.

Fastest way to get Influence in Industries of Titan

The fastest way to get Influence is by donating to the Council Hall. You can instantly get small amounts of Influence by donating resources to the Council. However, there is a limited number of times you can trade with the Council in quick succession. To view how many times you can trade with the Council, select the Council Communications icon, and find the Trade Tickets section. Every time you trade with or donate to the Council, you spend one Trade Ticket. Before you can trade again, you must wait an allotted amount of time for the Trade Tickets to refresh.

Best long-term way to get Influence in Industries of Titan

If you'd like to earn more Influence in the long term, you should build a Council Obelisk. This building increases the rate at which you gain Influence, although it requires you to invest resources in constructing it. Creating a Council Obelisk will set you up for later parts of the game since you'll have more than enough Influence to claim new plots early.
