Bioshock creator’s Judas trailer excites with false-reality story

Set your mind free.

The January 31st trailer for Ghost Story Studio's Judas, a narrative sci-fi shooter named after its protagonist, provides insight into the Matrix-like world of the game. The do-or-die attitude of Judas combined with the desire to escape a scripted world has me excited for this game like no other.

Judas' new trailer sets the truth free

Coming just a year after the official reveal of the game, the second Judas trailer dives into the reasons behind the disintegration of the world Judas resides in. The trailer's beginning implies a world of false reality, one where the people within it talk, act, and even feel according to a script that is beyond their control. For many, being stuck in a predetermined life becomes an unbreakable habit. For Judas, it's anything but—and she's prepared to set everything free.

There's no going back once you've been set free from the world. As Judas, you have the freedom to decide between fixing the world you've torn apart or watching it burn in your wake. Choose your allies, defeat robotic enemies, and find a way to escape from the dying starship you've been living on.

There is currently no release date, although Judas is currently available to wishlist on Epic Games, Playstation, Steam, and Xbox. I know that I'll be checking out the Bioshock games to fulfill my sci-fi shooter dreams while waiting for an official release date.
