Kena: Bridge of Spirits is coming to Steam, after the Time Release on Epic Games Store

Kena: Bridge of Spirits was shown at the Future of Gaming PlayStation 5 event back in June, and it captivated us with its gorgeous art style. It is one of several titles shown at the conference that is making its way to PC, however, as an Epic Store timed exclusive first.

A fan emailed the developers of Kena, Ember Lab, to find out if Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be coming to the Steam platform at any point in the future?

Hi, I have searched the internet far and wide but could not really find an answer to the question whether Kena is exclusive to the Epic Games Store for a limited time or permanently. Would be nice if you could provide some clarity. Either way, game looks amazing, I can't wait for the release!

Hello! Thank you for reaching out! We do have a timed exclusive upon release!

Timed release is the keyword in the reply; this means that it'll undoubtedly be about a year before Kena arrives on Steam after it's release on both PlayStation 5 and Epic Games Store. However, it might be sooner, but normally Epic deals last a whole 12 months before they can distribute on any other platform.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits was slate for a Q4 2020 release date; however, due to implications of COVID, Ember Labs chose to delay Kena until Q1 2021. If there are no more delays, we should see Kena: Bridge of Spirits hit Steam Q1 2022!
