Some heroes don't wear capes—they work at the radio station. Here's a guide on how to save everyone in Killer Frequency and make Forrest Nash into a real hero.
How to save everyone from the Whistling Man in Killer Frequency
You'll love playing Killer Frequency if you love slashers. Set in the 80s, Gallows Creek sees the return of the Whistling Man, an infamous and supposedly dead serial killer! The local police are on the job to hunt him down, except they aren't really.
Out of the three officers in Gallows Creek, one is dead, one is unconscious, and one is on vacation in Cancún. With no help on that front, you'll play as Forrest Nash, a radio host turned 911 operator trying to save the day. Check out our tips to get on how to save everyone from a terrible faith.
How to save Deputy Martinez in Killer Frequency
Leslie is a 911 operator and dispatcher, and you'll be stepping into her role throughout the game to save everyone. She's the first person to stumble upon the crime scene, but she can't be killed; it's Martinez. Here's what you'll need to do to help Leslie save Martinez:
- 'Find another set of keys' to find another way into the locked cell.
- 'Check Sheriff Mathews.' for another set of keys.
Once Leslie gets Martinez out of the cell, her new goal is to get them both to a car and find help in the next town over. It's on you to make sure this happens.
- Hit the first QTE after Leslie says, 'He's coming this way.'
- The plan is to 'Take a police cruiser!'
- The Deputy's gun is missing, and the Sherrif's gun is empty, so it doesn't matter which option you choose here.
- Choose 'Can you see any other weapons?' and prompt Leslie to check Deputy Martinez's belt for three possible weapons.
- The 'Taser' is the only weapon to save Leslie. Pepper spray won't work on him due to the mask, and he will snatch the baton from her, killing Deputy Martinez.
She'll hang up while she tries to reach the car, but you'll get another call from her soon.
- 'Leslie, what's happening?' hit this QTE after Leslie hears whistling.
- Then hit 'Leslie, drive!'
The two are now off to get help, and they won't come back for quite a while. It's on Forrest and Peggy to keep everyone alive.
How to save Sandra in Killer Frequency
The next caller you need to save is Sandra Sharpe, a jazz runner having a bad night. She'll call you twice. During the first call, you can choose any answers you want. It's during the second call you must be careful and choose the right answers.
You need to help her hotwire her car, so head to the men's bathroom to find the Timberline Twins' Fix All Cars magazine in the left stall. It will have all of the information you need!
Once Sandra calls back, these are the instructions you should tell her:
- 'Put the screwdriver in the ignition and twist clockwise.'
- 'Unscrew the steering column.'
- 'Tell me exactly what you see.'
- Check 'What's the serial number on the steering column.'
- Tell Sandra to 'Strip and twist together the Red and Yellow wires.'
- 'Strip the purple wire and brush against the twisted wires!'
You did it, and Sandra lives to jazz run another day. The next call is from Ponty, who isn't in danger from the Whistling Man but might be in danger from Forrest if he keeps calling and promoting his pizzeria for free.
How to save Maurice in Killer Frequency
Maurice is the next target you have to save. In the first part of the conversation, you craft a plan to distract the killer with a phone call. Unlike Sandra, Maurice is cool under pressure. He takes charge and faxes you a hand-drawn floor plan to his offices so you can figure out where to lead the killer.
Grab it and get back to action:
- First, 'Call the editor's office (1).'
- Tell Maurice to 'Go to the kitchen (2).'
- Ask, 'Can you lock him in a room?'
- The only room you can lock the Whistling Man in is the secret archives (3). Since there is no secret phone in the secret archives, you'll have to find and 'use a radio.'
- Once Maurice calls you back and says he found a radio, there will be a QTE that tells 'Maurice to turn the volume down.' Don't miss it!
- Then, 'Call the boardroom (4).'
- Pick any speech option to draw the killer into the room.
- Out of all of the hiding places, tell Maurice to 'Hide in your cabinet.' Don't click the next QTE! You can make noise only when Peggy gives you the go-ahead.
Maurice manages to lock the Whistling Man up, and that's the good ending. Just kidding, there are still quite a few people left to save. We're not done just yet.

How to save Virginia in Killer Frequency
Virginia is the next almost victim, and she is frantic. The only information you can get out of her is there is a frat party nearby, and they ordered takeout. You have to figure out where the frat party is happening to be able to find her.
Since client-takeout privileges are in place, you can’t just call the takeout places and ask where the order came from. Instead, you have to follow the world’s most roundabout plan.
First, scour the offices and the kitchen to find information on the three delivery places: Grilling Spree, Chalupacabras, and Ponty's Pizza.
Collect all of the flyers and cassette tape from one of the desks in the offices, and collect a pizza box from the trashcan in the kitchen downstairs.
- Call Ponty's Pizza (calling the other two will lead you to the Fraternity of Engineers and will kill Virginia).
- Order Garlic bread as the slow roast pizza takes three hours to make.
Ponty's Pizza will add a note telling the frat guys to call KFAM, and they will listen. When they call:
- Say you’re Forrest Nash, then prove it by playing 'the Flow' record.
Frat Man Plunker and the rest of the frat come over to Virginia's house and come to her rescue just in the nick of time.
How to save Eugene in Killer Frequency
This night is no time for love, and Eugene will find out the hard way. The Whistling Man targets him as he waits for his date in the middle of the Maize Maze, a local attraction. Once he hears the whistling, he will run around and get lost. You have to help him get out.
Luckily for Eugene, the KFAM receptionist. Barbara is a huge Maize Maze enthusiast, so you can find the map in the trash can behind her desk.
These are the directions Eugene needs to follow to survive:
- Go left.
- Go backwards.
- Go left.
- Go right.
- Go right.
How to save Murphy in Killer Frequency
During his first call earlier in the night, Murphy challenges the Whistling Man to a fight, stating his martial arts credentials from Master Robbie's Deadly Dojo of Kung-Raa-Tay. So it's really not surprising he loses the fight and is locked in a dumpster in the currently on-fire Gallows Waste Disposal Plant.
The firefighter department is just as much a mess as the police department. You need to figure out which of Peggy's friends who live in the area can make it to the plant instead and save Murphy.
Jericho is the closest, but he is an old man and won't make it in time. Alex will run into road work and be late, so you should choose Katherine. Now, you'll be talking to both Katherine and Murphy to coordinate the rescue.
- See anything Murphy?
- Tell Katherine to go to recycling.
- Do you hear anything Murphy?
- Direct Katherine to the crusher.
- Tell her to open the Henderson container.
Katherine is a savior, and Murphy really needs to get a refund from Master Robbie.

How to save Carrie and her friends in Killer Frequency
Carrie phones in, panicking because some of her friends have been killed, and she is next. But as it turns out, it's just her 'friends' pulling a prank on her. However, the prank soon becomes the real deal, as the actual Whistling Man shows up.
Jimmy, the main prankster, gets killed off, and I have to say I don't feel too sad about it. What's important is to save the rest of them. Since there are many of them, they can't seem to settle on a plan, and you'll have to help.
Jeannie, the station intern, is their friend too, and you can find a useful Jeannie and Carrie's Friendship Quiz paper on her desk to figure out who should do what.
This is what you can figure out from the quiz:
- Heather should climb the roof.
- Jennifer should pick the lock.
- Hot David should lure the killer by running away.
- Lisa should use acting to lead the killer in.
- Chad should drive the van.
These are all options to save all teens (except Jimmy). You get a close call for a moment where you think Carrie might die, but the Whistling Man just leaves her alone.
How to save Chuck in Killer Frequency
Chuck never calls us directly, but when you grab Dawn’s tunes from outside, you'll accidentally stumble upon clues on how to save him. First, go outside and grab the record. Of course, the door locks behind you, so you need to find fuses and open the basement door to get inside.
You'll find the fuses scattered across the alleyway. Just make sure the ones you put in add up to 70, just like in the photo below.
Once you turn the fuses on, go through the basement door next to the stairs. Head to the janitor’s (Clive's) closet and find a secret room. In the room, you'll see what looks like a murder board that shows who Clive, the now believed Whistling Man, was planning to kill next.
- Tell Peggy 'Chuch Brody is the next target.'
- 'You’ll find him at the Gas station.'
Your warning saved Chuck and everyone at the gas station from an explosion.
How to save Roller Ricky in Killer Frequency
Roller Ricky's call is just a pleasant conversation, a lovely break in a night of horrors, and neither he nor his dog Max are in danger at this moment. They are actually in danger during Dawn's call, however.
Dawn claims the Whistling Man is coming for her, but you can't hear a whistle in the background. You can instead hear a train coming close by and a dog, so it’s immediately suspicious as to where she is. She wants you to give her the code for her apartment so she can get inside.
The first time I played the game, I thought she was trying to break into KFAM as she asked for the deactivation code for the same security system as in the radio station. Now I realize this could never be true because you can't hear a train in the station.
Find a manual for the security system and give Dawn the alarm test activation code. This will alert Ricky just in time to grab a shotgun and scare Dawn, or as we quickly find out, the Whistling Man away. Ricky and Maxy are safe!
How to save Jason in Killer Frequency
Casey is calling for help because her friend Jason has been stabbed. Try to figure out what state Jason is in so you know what to tell the nurse at the hospital once you call. The call will mostly be her talking to you, but after that's done, this is what you’ll choose:
- Check 'How is Jason?'
- 'Don’t touch the knife!' As it’s the only thing stemming the bleeding.
- 'We need to secure the knife' so it doesn’t move around.
- Choose to 'use the cleaning rags' as bandages first.
Since the ambulance can't come, you have to find someone else to help. Luckily, KFAM staff took a first aid course. Unluckily, Peggy didn't take it. You need to find someone else who lives in the neighborhood to go over and help Jason.
Go to Reggie’s office to find the information on who took the course. You'll need a 4-digit code for the safe, which is 1107. Once you open it, you'll see the greatest treasure of them all: a bunch of floppy disks. All the information you need is on them, just check it on the computer.
Before you can tell Peggy who to call, you'll need to make sure Jason survives long enough:
- 'Jason’s going into shock, so elevate his legs.'
- Don’t remove the bandage. 'Apply additional bandages.'
- Once Jason is stable for the moment, continue talking to Peggy.
- Tell her to 'call John Hedges,' a former war medic.
- Tell him it's 'a medical emergency.'
John will call you later to say he has made it and stabilized Jason. You managed to keep him alive, too.
How to save Peggy/Teddy/Forrest in Killer Frequency
Ricky will call you back again to tell you who killed George, but the power shuts down. You must head back to the basement and power up a backup emergency generator.
But when you get back upstairs, Peggy is gone, and you get locked in her office by the Whistling Man. At this point, you only have three characters left to save: Teddy Jr., Peggy, and Forrest (yourself). During the conversation with Dawn, you'll find out there are two Whistling Men: Dawn and her son Henry. This definitely makes more sense than a ghost (sorry Peggy).
The first step to saving everyone is actually to keep Dawn talking. Once Forrest says, 'I can stall,' be careful what you press:
- Ask Dawn 'how did you feel?'
- 'Who was under the mask?' It was Chuck and Teddy originally.
- 'How do you know what happened?'
- 'Then why the cover-up?' if Dawn is lying. Teddy thought George dying was just a blip on his future, so Clive was sent to clean it all up.
- Press the 'That’s evil' QTE in response.
- 'Answer the question' if Teddy's father owned Sandra Sharpe's studio.
- Tell Dawn, 'You’ve been through hell' after learning everyone was in on the cover-up forced by Gallows Sr.
- Marie is holding Teddy hostage at the 'School Gym.' Teddy survives.
- 'Sister?' It turns out Dawn, or Marie, is Peggy's sister.
- 'You should have said.'
- 'Is that why you attacked Eugene?' Dawn went after Eugene because his parents were gone, just like she went after Peggy because their parents were gone.
- Pick up the birthday card off the table (or hold it throughout this entire talk like I did, just in case), and flip it to see the birthday card Peggy got from Marie for her eighth birthday. It's proof Peggy never forgot her.
Peggy and Forest survive as the police arrive at that moment. The night is done, and as Forrest said, it's been a scream.
