How to get and use Hermits in Kingdom Two Crowns

One hermit to rule them all.

Hermits are reclusive by nature, but if you manage to find one, they can be valuable in helping build your kingdom. Since they can be tricky to track down, you might be wondering how to get a hermit and use them.

Players can find Hermits living in cottages, and each type lives on a different island. Finding them isn't the only thing you have to do to get them to join your cause. Once you have located a hermit, you will need to coax them out with gems. How many gems are required depends on what kind of hermit it is.

Once you have paid the hermit, they will slowly wander towards the town center. You can speed up this process by paying one coin to have the hermit ride alongside you. Once they are on your mount, you can carry them to your town center.

With the hermit under your rule, you can now use them to upgrade your buildings. Each hermit grants you a new building to upgrade. To do so, the hermit must be riding with you on your mount as you pass the building. If you leave the borders of your kingdom after nightfall or go in the wrong direction, they will jump off your mount, and you will have to pay them again.

Players can also take them to the next island. When you travel to a new island, you don't have to have the hermit mounted beside you when getting on the boat. All hermits under your rule will automatically transfer them to the new island.
