In Last Epoch, you'll find the toughest encounters the game will ever throw you at endgame, and unless you capped out on your Critical Strike Avoidance, you risk getting killed often. Critical Strike Avoidance is an important stat, so here's everything you need to know about it and its cap.
How Critical Strike Avoidance Cap works in Last Epoch
Critical Strike Avoidance is a secondary stat that determines whether or not an attack that hits you turns out to be a critical hit. Naturally, being critically hit is bad news for you, as often it results in you being killed outright, or being stunned by the blow. You want to avoid critical hits by stacking Critical Strike Avoidance of course, but there is a limit you need to be aware of.
Critical Strike Avoidance caps out at 100, meaning every point of the stat you get on your gear, or through talents, is 1:1. If you have a helmet with 50 Critical Strike Avoidance, then you have a 50 percent chance to avoid a critical strike if an enemy has a 100 percent chance to land one. The critical Strike Avoidance cap is, therefore, 100. When you reach this cap, you become immune to critical hits, converting said hits into normal hits instead. This is paramount for progressing endgame content.

How to get Critical Strike Avoidance in Last Epoch
There are numerous other ways to obtain Critical Strike Avoidance as it is not a rare stat. The easiest way to get a significant amount of Critical Strike Avoidance is to use the Grand Survival of Might blessing, which you're offered as a reward for completing the Reign of Dragons Monolith campaign.
This blessing gives you anywhere from 50-70 Critical Strike Avoidance before factoring in anything else, making it the best source of the stat. Once you have this blessing active, all you need is one tier 6 Critical Strike Avoidance sub-stat on a piece of gear to reach the 100 percent cap.
Critical Strike Avoidance can also roll on any equipment-based items that you can loot. You can also add the stat to any piece of equipment yourself through the crafting system. Critical Strike Avoidance is a suffix stat, meaning you'll need to make sure you have room on your gear for a suffix to add. Finally, Critical Strike Avoidance can randomly appear on Exalted Items (purple gear).
